2010 Aquapalooza Missouri River Pirate Run Information:Saturday, August 28th

Raffle Grand Prizes and Costume Contest will be announced at NP Dodge Park Pavillion at 5:00 p.m. You need not be present to win any raffle prizes. Winners not present will be notified. Boat Decorating/ Costume Contest participants must be present to win.
To register for the event:
Each boat must first register at:  www.aquapalooza.com   website. If you do not register on that website, we cannot guarantee that we can communicate with you properly via e-mail. If you have questions that are not answered via e-mail, you can contact Mike Nielsen or John Lawlor at Omaha Marine Center ph: 402-339-9600. We will post updates on the www.omahamarinecenter.com website under the About Us/ Aquapalooza tab as updates occur.
To be officially registered to participate: There is a $20.00 per boat (not per person) registration fee. This registration must be mailed to:

Alternatively, the $20.00 may be paid in person at Omaha Marine Center 9610 L Street until the day of the event.
Or-The $20.00 per boat fee may be paid at sign -up the day of the event. The $20.00 per boat fee must be paid no later than the day of the event between 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Omaha Marine Center stop in the NP Dodge Park Marina near the pavillion. No free T-shirts will be issued until the $20.00 per boat registration is paid.
Your $20.00 per boat registration fee will get you the following:
* Participation in the event and the chance to visit fun stops and meet new people on the River at your convenience between 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28th.
*2 free Aquapalooza T-shirts if you register on the www.aquapalooza.com website no later that July 2nd, 2010. If you did not register by July 2nd, there are no more free t-shirts available.Â
* 1 free $10.00 raffle ticket. Any additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $10.00 each the day of the event or earlier, if you choose. You may purchase raffle tickets at Omaha Marine Center until the Friday before the event or the NP Dodge Park Pavillion dock area the day of the event.
Free T-shirt Rules:Â
You will not receive the two free t-shirts unless the $20.00 per boat registration fee has been paid. The free t-shirts may be picked up two days before the event at Omaha Marine Center at 9610 L Street or at the Omaha Marine stop in NP Dodge Park Marina at the Pavillion the day of the event only between 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. No T-shirts will be mailed. If you do not show up and do not pay the $20.00 per boat registration, you will not receive the two free t-shirts. The free T-shirt deadline was July 2nd and you must register at www.aquapalooza.com.Â
Collector's Edition T-Shirts:
We will be offering a very cool Limited Edition Aquapalooza/ Missouri River Pirate Run Collector's T-Shirt or Tank Top for $12.00 each at the event at The Omaha Marine stop in NP Dodge Park Marina at the Pavillion and for the 3 days preceding the event at our showroom 9610 L Street in Omaha, NE only. I will print 144 total first come/ first serve.
Event Updates/ Schedule:
We are nearing the date of the event and have more details to share. The event will be held on Saturday, August 28th from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of a Poker Run, we have decided to make things easier and more fun for all involved. This year's event will be called The Missouri River Pirate Run.Â
Raffle Tickets: 1,000 raffles will be sold before and on the day of the event at the following locations: Omaha  Marine Center 9610 L Street until the day of the event, NP Dodge Park Pavillion 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. the day of the event, 10:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Anchor Inn dock the day of the event . Cost for each Raffle is $10.00. The Raffle income will be used to hand out as cash prize money!!!!  Raffle tickets will be sold until 3:00 p.m. or while supplies last. Winners will be randomly drawn and announced at 5:00 p.m. at the NP Dodge Park Pavillion. Winners will be notified and you need not be present to win. Winners will be posted on the www.Omahamarinecenter.com website. All monies collected will be distributed to pay prizes for raffles and contests. Dollar amounts will vary depending on monies collected. There will be at least 10 raffle winners of varying amounts depending upon participation.
Photo Opp at the Bob Kerrey Bridge:
We have photographers lined up to take scenic group photos of all participating boats at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28th. All boats wishing to be in the photo should be coming north up river under the bridge at 1:00 p.m. to be in the photos. We are trying to get the Omaha Downtown skyline and the Bob Kerrey Bridge in the background. These photos will be made available and should be a good collectors Item for area boaters.
Pirate Run Scavenger Hunt:
There will be a Pirate Scavenger Hunt for participating in the event boats. On the day of the event you can stop by the Omaha Marine NP Dodge Park Pavillion booth and get your Pirate Scavenger List. You will have from the time you get your list until 4:30 p.m. to submit your items to the head Pirate at the NP Dodge Park Pavillion. The boaters that get the most items off the list will win the cash prizes. Ties will split the prize. $300.00 first place. $200.00 second place. $100.00 third place. Winners will be announced at 5pm at the NP Dodge park Pavillion. You must be present to win. All scavenger items will be returned to you.
Boat Decorating and Costume Theme Contest:
There will be cash prizes for the best decorated boats with passenger costumes. Winners will be chosen by crowd applause at 5:00 p.m. at the NP Dodge Park Pavillion so you must be present to win. $250.00 first prize. $150.00 second prize. $100.00 third prize.
Please keep in mind: This is an all volunteer event and nobody is being paid or profiting from the event. After expenses, all proceeds are re-distributed to the participants, so lighten up and have a good time. Please thank these sponsors for hosting the event so that they will continue to support the event:

Todd will be playing on the deck in the NP Dodge Marina Pavillion fron 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Tie up in the lagoon and enjoy the tunes and check out the scene.
Food and Beverage:
Pizza Gourmet Co. is the exclusive food and beverage sponsor for the event. They will offer an economical array of beer, soft drinks, and food items at the NP Dodge Park Pavillion all day Saturday.

Cheeseburgers w/ chips: $4.00 each
Hot dogs 1/4 lb. w/ chips: $3.00 each
Pulled Pork sandwiches w/ chips $5.00 each
Pork chops on a stick w/ chips: $5.00 each
Miller Lite 1pint: $3.00 each
Leinenkueals Sunset wheat beer:Â $4.00 each
Weather: Forecast is for 85 degress and Sunny
This is a rain or shine event. There will be no postpone date for rain. The event will go on Saturday, August 28th or it will not go at all, so plan accordingly. If the river levels remain too high to navigate the river a decision will be made to postpone the event by August 25th.
Boating Safety:
Each individual boat captain is responsible and personally liable for the safety of their crew during the event. Last year there were policing authorities on the river and they were issuing tickets and checking for BUI. Please make sure your boat driver is sober, your boat is legally registered and you have all the required Coast Guard safety items on your vessel. Sponsors are NOT RESPONSIBLE for any illegal activity by boaters.
